An additional two individuals are now in custody related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by police.
A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. They both remain in custody, the force said.
The arrests follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases after getting out of a parking garage elevator.
A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt during the incident. Five people were taken to the hospital for medical care and have since been released.
Police arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault near the location. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.
Authorities were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of people hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be an irritant spray.
The assault - an event that police said was isolated and not considered an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility briefly.
